Passage d'Eupatoria
The Eupatoria Passage is located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. It starts at 13, rue d'Eupatoria and ends in a dead end.
It bears that name because of its proximity to the Eupatoria street.
The length of the passage is 25 metres, its width is 5 metres.
This road was opened in 1856 under the name "passage de l'Alma" before taking its current name by a decree of February 1, 1877.
The passage of Eupatoria takes its name from the Crimean town where the Franco-British allies landed in September 1854. It was also the scene of the Battle of Eupatoria during which the Ottomans and their allies succeeded in defeating a Russian assault.
It was as a result of this battle that the Street of Eupatoria and later the Passage of Eupatoria were named.
